• The 25-machine series of You Ji YV Series vertical turning centers are engineered for small to medium part machining. Standard cutting diameters range from 10″ (254 mm) to 40″ (1016 mm), and maximum part weights from 440 lbs. to 6,600 lbs.
• Starting with the 8″ (203 mm) chuck 200 series and ending with the 40″ (1016 mm) chuck 800 series, the machines offer a wide variety of sizes, configurations, and accessories. All YV Series machines are available in twin spindle (right / left) configurations and are totally enclosed to contain all chips and coolant.
• The machines feature heavy Meehanite cast iron construction, choice of roller type linear ways or box ways, and large diameter pre-tensioned ball screws. The machines feature heavy-duty spindles featuring double-row roller bearings (Timken Cross Roller for YV-800) for rigidity and precision. Spindle power ranges from 15 hp to 50 hp, coupled with ZF planetary gearboxes (on most models) that provide high torque for heavy metal removal.
• The YV machines are available with four different tool-changing choices. All models are available with a conventional drum-type turret. For minimal tool interference on larger diameter parts, all models from the 250 and above are available with a hex turret. An automatic tool changer (ATC) is available on the YV-500, 600, and 800 machines, providing the ultimate flexibility. For simple parts or secondary operations, the YV-200, 250, and 320 machines are available with low-cost gang-type tooling.
• A full range of productivity-enhancing options is available including full contouring C axis with live milling (models with drum turrets or ATC’s), programmable high/low chuck pressure, high-pressure coolant, tailstocks, auto tool setters, and part probes. All machines feature standard hydraulic 3-jaw chuck packages, chip conveyors, and Fanuc CNC controls.
